Not to be confused with the Village Greens neighborhood, Village Greens West is a seperate neighborhood. Building of the neighborhood began in the early 1980s. It’s one of the mid-sized neighborhoods in Tanoan West with 57 homes.

The neighborhood is located in the southwest section of Tanoan West off Village Green Dr NE and Tumberry Lane NE. Village Greens West is adjacent to Village Greens and west of Torrey Pines.
There are four grocery stores within approximately 5 minutes, including Whole Foods, Smith’s Food & Drug and Alberton’s Market.
Just North of the Tanoan West community, is the Jay Yogeshwar Trail. The trail connects you to Heritage Hills Park, North Pino Trail, Raman Trail and Quintessence Park.
